‘Gennaio 2021, ancora brillo dai nuovi propositi per il nuovo anno, l’hard disk dove archiviavo tutto il mio lavoro ha deciso di lasciarmi, portando con sé anni di lavori. In quell’ hard disk c’era anche uno dei miei ultimi lavori intitolato ‘ERA DE MAGGIO’, lavoro composto da 70 scatti fotografici che avevo ideato ed esposto nel 2020, come video sequenza, nella mia personale LIFE VEST UNDER YOUR SEAT (capitolo secondo) tenutasi a Milano in ottobre. Armato di un software per recuperare i file persi, sono riuscito a recuperare gran parte del materiale, tranne le 70 foto che avevo scattato per il progetto sopra citato. In realtà ho recuperato le foto ma nel recuperarle, il software o il computer stesso, le hanno modificate caricandole di colori acidi e scomponendo le immagini come per un collage. Il mio lavoro era completamente cambiato e non era né meglio né peggio. Semplicemente diverso.’

“January 2021 — still glowing with the new year’s resolutions, the hard drive where I stored all my work decided to abandon me, taking with it years of projects. On that hard drive there was also one of my most recent works, titled ERA DE MAGGIO, a project composed of 70 photographic shots that I had conceived and exhibited in 2020, as a video sequence, during my solo show LIFE VEST UNDER YOUR SEAT (chapter two) held in Milan in October.
Armed with a file recovery software, I managed to retrieve most of the material — except for the 70 photos I had taken for the aforementioned project. In fact, I did recover them, but in doing so, either the software or the computer itself altered them, saturating them with acid colors and breaking up the images as if into a collage.
My work had completely changed — and it wasn’t better, nor worse.
Simply different.”
